Sandeep Kumar Pal is an Assistant Professor of Botany at the Department of Botany, DBS College, Kanpur. He is working on the diversity and classification of the angiosperm flora of India. As a passionate field taxonomist, He explored many of the unexplored regions, especially in Uttar Pradesh, and identified and documented the diversity, endemism, and ecology of the plants of the family Euphorbiaceae. He is well experienced in the identification of plants and is currently focusing on the floristic diversity of the family Euphorbiaceae in Uttar Pradesh to understand the taxonomic complexity. Apart from botanical research, he is also focusing on the conservation assessments of rare, endangered, and threatened species.
