MISSION
1. Imparting quality education through a well-designed curriculum according to NEP in tune with the challenging software needs of the industry. 2. Providing state-of-the-art research facilities to generate knowledge and develop technologies in the thrust areas of computer science. The department has nearly 300 students in all the semesters. Our department has a well equipped lab with 20 computers with latest software where the students were given the unique opportunity of working in various development environments like MS-DOS, LINUX, MS Windows(9x/XP/NT/2000), Sun Solaris and HP- Unix. Now the department has Microsoft Windows 10 ready desktop PC’s connected to each other through LAN. The department also has its own library with over 300+ books for exclusive use of the students and the faculty. The library has separate magazine and journal sections. Various computer journals are available online through the College Library.

ABOUT THE COURSE OF B.SC. IN COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
B.Sc. in Computer Applications is a 3-year full time undergraduate course in Computer Application with the study of various aspects of computer functioning and related areas. You get the foundational knowledge of Windows, fundamentals of the operating system, programming languages, web designing and much more. Due to a high demand for professionals in the computer field in various walks of life, you can get various employment opportunities in MNCs, IT firms, Schools, Software Companies, etc. Successful graduates of the course interested in pursuing further studies in the discipline may go for MBA in IT, MCA, or M.Sc. in Computer Application. Such graduates are hired as Technical Administrators, Researchers, Project Leaders, Junior Programmers, System Analysts, etc. in a variety of computer software industries such as IT organizations, Internet Marketing companies, software companies, etc.

History of the Department

The department of Computer Application was established in 2002-03 with only 30 seats. Later on seats are increased to 60 and then due to heavy demand seats are increased to 180. The Department offers three year UG degree Course of B.Sc. Computer Application approved by C.S.J.M. university, Kanpur. Syllabi of these programs are designed according to NEP considering the requirement of time as well as the demand of the IT industry. This course is equivalent to 3 years degree BCA course in minimum fees. The Students of our department are placed in various government organization, Banking sector, public sector, startup etc.
