Research Activities

One Research scholar is registered for Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof R. K. Tripathi. Two Research paper is published in journal, One paper in book.

History of the Department

Political science department is established by Dr. M. M. Pandey in 1959. After him Dr. P. N. Gupta, Dr. O. P. Suri, Dr. Pratap shanker Trivedi , Dr. U.D. Tripathi became head. At present Prof. R. K. Tripathi is working as the head of department in 2006. There are total 4 permanent faculty members in the department. Dr. B. C. Kaushik become principal in VSSD College Kanpur in 2022. Dr Shikha Saxsena and Dr. Preeti Singh are other faculty member of the department. All the members of the department are fully qualified according to the norms of UGC. They are teaching graduate and post graduate classes very well according to the prescribed syllabus of the University. Almost 12 books and 150 research papers are published in National and international journal. Total 11 PhD was awarded under the supervision of Professor R.K. Tripathi one minor research project completed by Prof. R. K. Tripathi and one by Dr. B.C. Kaushik. Political science department successfully organise the National seminar in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2010, 2016 . The success in political science is almost 90% many students achieve position in university
