Message from the Secretary
It gives me immense pleasure to announce that the D.B.S. College website has been refurbished and thoroughly updated with a view towards providing comprehensive information about all the activities of the college. I am sure that this will be very useful to the students, researchers and collaborators as well as the prospective students.
Over the years, this institution has transformed itself into a reservoir of ideas and principles, carefully harnessed and cultivated for the well-being of the society and the world. Inspired by the vision of the founders of the college, the goal of the college is to create enlightened individuals with a commitment towards social change and nation building, through a process of holistic academic, intellectual, moral and physical development and character building. We do not merely impart knowledge, but also imbibe the spirit of inquisition and social service among our students. Hence, we take immense pride and utmost care in upholding the tradition in all curricular activities.
The management is constantly collaborating with the teaching faculty and non-teaching staff to ensure the well-being of our students, for which the college is immensely appreciated from all quarters. We welcome all suggestions for the further improvement of the website. We also invite all the ex-students to join the Alumni Association and further enrich the glorious tradition of D.B.S. College.
I thank the staff, students and well-wishers for their unflinching commitment and continued support towards the college and its vision. My special thanks to the members of the web team for their noble initiative and sincere efforts towards revamping the college website to its present impressive shape.

The Information Communication Technology has, nowadays, brought the whole world on one platform, and the smooth exchange of knowledge, ideas and expertise has become imperative for the exploration of the scope and the actualization of the immense potential that lay ahead of us in the field of Higher Education. With this in mind, I am glad to announce that the D.B.S. College website has been updated with easily accessible extensive information which, I am sure, will be very useful in catering to the academic needs of the current as well as prospective students.
The goal of the college is to achieve excellence in higher education by nurturing students to be academically, morally and socially enlightened individuals. This lofty goal can be sustainably achieved only if there is a definitive blue print that clearly articulates the glorious history of the college, its present policies and efforts as well as prospective paths towards taking the college to newer heights. It gives me immense pleasure to state that the college has taken all necessary steps and put in all efforts to ensure that its lofty goal of excellence in higher education is achieved on a consistent basis, which will go a long way in retaining its high quality and calibre. The college will soon be inviting stakeholders for contributions towards further improvements, in its incessant efforts towards ensuring the academic as well as all round development of the students.
The revamped and updated college website is a laudable and honest attempt at filling the communication gap that exists in Higher Education. It will surely function as an easily accessible bridge between the stakeholders and the society.
Message from the Principal
I heartily welcome all to the revamped and duly updated version of the college website and take this opportunity to share my views with all the stakeholders of this college.
Established in the year 1959, this venerable institution has walked this considerable passage of time with great dignity and success while providing quality education to the people of Kanpur and its surrounding as well as far off places, by adopting an egalitarian approach towards imparting education to all students irrespective of their class, creed, religion or gender. This had been the great noble vision of the great founders of the College and it has been and will always continue to be our mission to be successful in that endeavour.
The college has been established upon the ideals of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, who preached that the path to enlightenment lies in the holistic education and development of a human being. Staying true to these ideals, the college, not only focuses on the academic development and accomplishment of the students, but also attempts to inculcate the highest sense of morals, values and principles among them. Moreover, great emphasis is also laid upon physical well-being and health by encouraging sports and NCC among the students, with the vision of producing physically fit, morally stout and intellectually astute citizens who are going to do their fair share in te cause of nation building.
I, once again, take this opportunity to thank all the alumni, stakeholders and everyone associated with the college for keeping our glorious tradition alive and hope that we continue to put our concerted efforts towards an even more glorious future.
