Group discussion on “Various dimensions of science”

Physics department has organized a discussion on “Various dimensions of science” on 07.05.2024 for M.Sc. students. Prof. Anil Kumar Mishra, Principal of our college inaugurated the program. He discussed the significant advances India has made in expanding renewable energy capacity in the recent years and became one of the fourth largest renewable energy producer in the world.
Prof. Pragya Agarwal, Head of department told that various dimensions of science have multifaceted domain that shapes human understanding of the real world. She also emphasized on the use of artificial intelligence it is reshaping our world by offering tremendous opportunity in everyday of life, however, it is crucial to establish ethical framework and regulation to ensure that AI serves humanity positively. After opening remark; Dr. O P Gupta and Dr. Swadesh K Gupta, the coordinators of C.V. Raman Physical Society motivated the students for discussion. Many students shared their thoughts on the related topics and presented their views. Mohini Dwivedi explained that physics is the foundation of Science and technology. It help us to understand the basic laws governing the universe. Salil Mishra discussed the role of advancement in renewable energy, emphasizing harnessing solar and wind power. Deeksha Mishra discussed about understanding of climate change and need for sustainable practices. Suyash Verma, Sadhana Sahu and many other students shared personal experiences of various challenging concepts of physics. The program was briefly recap the main points and open the floor for questions to engage the students and clarify their doubts by teachers of the department. In end, the vote of thanks was given by Prof. Dhirendra Singh.
