One Day Workshop on Roadmap to NAAC Accreditation

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of DBS College organised a comprehensive workshop on the preparation and maintenance of records for NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) accreditation under the new Binary Accreditation method. The workshop aimed to enhance understanding among the faculty and non-teaching staff about systematic documentation and valid proof management in line with NAAC requirements.

The resource persons, Prof. Abha Singh (IQAC Convenor, PPN College, Kanpur) and Prof. Suman Singh (NAAC Convenor, PPN College, Kanpur), shared their first hand valuable insights into the meticulous maintenance of records with valid proofs, which is a critical component of the NAAC accreditation process. They emphasised on the proper categorisation and labelling of records. Maintaining digital as well as physical records for easy access. Ensuring that all records are supported by relevant proofs, such as certificates, geo-tagged photographs, attendance sheets, and financial records. 

       

Maintenance of records as per the ten NAAC criteria Curricular Aspects, Teaching-Learning & Evaluation, Research, Innovations & Extension, Infrastructure & Learning Resources, Student Support & Progression, Governance, Leadership & Management, and Institutional Values & Ensuring availability and organisation of records for a smooth inspection process. She emphasised on coordination among different departments to compile comprehensive reports.
The experts also advised College IQAC team to conduct regular internal audits to check the completeness and accuracy of records. Experts also suggested to  Involve all stakeholders in data collection and validation processes.

The workshop was summed up by Prof. Anil Kumar Mishra, Principal of DBS College, who highlighted the importance of a collective and systematic approach towards NAAC accreditation. He appreciated the valuable inputs provided by the resource persons and encouraged the staff to adhere to the guidelines shared during the workshop.

The event was hosted by Prof. Indrani Dubey, who managed the proceedings seamlessly. The workshop witnessed active participation from all teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college. Prof. K. K. Srivastava, IQAC Coordinator of DBS College, was also present and played a key role in organising the workshop. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the participants with a clearer understanding of the documentation and preparation needed for a successful NAAC accreditation process.
