Dr. S. P. Singh is currently serving as a Professor at D.B.S. P.G. College, Kanpur. His academic journey began at D.A.V. College, Kanpur, where he completed his B.Sc. in 1983, M.Sc. in 1985, and Ph.D. in 1992, focusing on plant pathology under supervision of Dr. G. C. Saxena. He joined D.B.S. P.G. College as a Lecturer in 1991, advancing to Professor in 2021. His research in mycology, plant pathology, and ethnobotany has resulted in numerous publications on plant diseases and management strategies. He has also contributed book chapters and participated in many seminars. Recognized with the SPPS Fellow Award, he is a life member of the Indian Science Congress Association and other prestigious organizations. His career reflects a commitment to scientific excellence, teaching, and mentoring future researchers.
