Dr. Tamanna Begam is an accomplished academic with a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from H.B.T.I. Kanpur. She has a robust educational background, holding a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from C.S.J.M. University Kanpur. Dr. Begam has contributed significantly to the field of polymer science, with several publications in prestigious international journals. Her research includes studies on hydrogels and copolymers, focusing on their applications in drug delivery and environmental sustainability. With extensive teaching experience at Khalsa Girls Degree College and DBS PG College in Kanpur, Dr. Begam is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and education.

Hydrogels are a type of polymer that can absorb and retain large amounts of water due to their hydrophilic properties.Hydrogels are widely used in various applications such as wound dressings, drug delivery systems, contact lenses, and diapers. In wound dressings, hydrogels can absorb exudates from the wound and provide a moist environment that promotes healing. Hydrogels can release drugs slowly over time in drug delivery systems, providing a sustained therapeutic effect. In contact lenses, hydrogels can absorb tears and provide a comfortable fit for extended wear. In diapers, hydrogels can absorb urine and prevent leakage, keeping the baby dry and comfortable.
